Why Adirmont Real Estate?
Adirmont Real Estate was founded on a simple belief: buying or selling a home in Vermont or upstate New York deserves an agent who actually knows the territory — the towns, the seasons, the quirks of rural property, and the people who call this region home.
Our name says it all. Adirmont Real Estate sits at the crossroads of the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains — two landscapes, one brokerage, one team that knows both sides of Lake Champlain.

My husband, Rex and I live in Orwell, Vermont on a beautiful 170 acre piece of God's country. I am very partial to this area. Not only did I grow up here, I raised my own family here, and most of my immediate family still live nearby. This is quintessential Vermont, where community and family come first.
Before getting into real estate nearly 15 years ago, I spent the majority of my career in sales and marketing and business management. My very early years were spent in kitchens as I earned my degree in culinary arts from the New England Culinary Institute.
In addition to enjoying time on our beautiful property, I like to spend as much time as I can on my motorcycle - in fact, during warm weather months, I will more likely than not, arrive to all showings on my Honda Rebel 1100.
People often ask me what Adirmont means or how I came up with that name. Well, our property overlooks Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains while enjoying a backdrop of the hills of Vermont's beautiful Green Mountains, hence the name reflects that combination...Adirmont.
Buying or selling a home is typically the single largest financial transaction most people will ever make. That's why building strong relationships and trust is at the core of everything I do. I treat people the way I want to be treated. I listen, get to know you and understand what you need and want, and then help you achieve your goals. No pushy sales tactics, I'm in it for the long haul whether you are ready to buy or sell today, or a year or two down the road. I bring deep market knowledge, straightforward advice, and a genuine commitment to every client's long-term wellbeing — not just the closing.

My wife and I have lived in Vermont our entire lives, currently we own a home in the town of Whiting, a small community nestled in the southern part of Addison County, with multiple lakes nearby in the west/central part of the state.
After adopting two boys from India, it is here where we raised our family. Our sons loved the community, where they attended local schools, became members of 4-H, rode their ATV's and were proud to be living in a town consisting mostly of Agriculture. While my wife and I worked, doing our part on the local school board, Volunteer Fire Department and driving the school bus, this is the place we call home.
I worked for GE, Aircraft Engines, for 43 years before retiring. I then spent the last two years working as a Sales Representative for the McKernon Group, which is a reputable home contractor, building and renovating homes. I joined Adirmont Real Estate in 2018 and have enjoyed helping buyers and sellers alike.
Aside from spending time with my family and working around our home, I enjoy hunting, boating, snowmobiling and ATV riding.
Whether you're searching for your dream home, possibly selling your existing home or buying and selling a piece of property, if you want a hard working, dedicated agent to work for and with you, please give me your consideration. I will go the extra mile to make the process of buying or selling in Vermont an enjoyable and easy venture.
Steve brings a lifetime of Vermont living to every transaction. With deep roots in Addison and Rutland counties, he has an instinctive feel for rural property — from working farms to lakefront retreats. His straightforward style and patient approach make him a trusted guide for first-time buyers and seasoned investors alike.
