My career transition into real estate has been very rewarding. A late 80’s graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, I spent nearly 20 years in the foodservice industry, followed by another decade in sales and marketing and business management.  In 2014 I decided to pursue my real estate license with the goal of opening my own agency.  I spent my first two years as an agent with Century 21 Bird Real Estate and then moved on to obtain my broker's license, opening Adirmont Real Estate in Orwell, VT in the spring of 2016, followed by the Brandon office in 2017. To date, I've sold over 50 homes in my market area, helping dozens of clients and customers fulfill their dreams or start new adventures.

​I’m a very outgoing person, connecting with people is second nature for me, something I attribute to my long career in foodservice and sales and marketing.  Building strong relationships and trust is at the core of everything I do. I’m very deeply rooted in the Orwell community – I grew up here, went to elementary and high school here and raised my family here.

I recognize that buying or selling a home can be very stressful for buyers and sellers, so I’m very hands-on throughout the entire process to help lift the stress and worry. For those leaving our community it can be an emotional process, letting go and moving on can be difficult so I see my role as a facilitator, to help them make sound business decisions, not emotional ones.  Many of clients and customers are friends and neighbors I’ve known for over 40 years so its important that I treat them right!  It’s no different with my out of state clients and customers, I try to make them feel comfortable and right at home immediately.  I’m very casual and down to earth…no frills, no pomp and circumstance, just a down-home country girl, and I think that puts people at ease right away.  From introductions to their neighbors and area business owners, to tours around our back roads and lakes, to personal connections with local service providers to help them settle into their new homes, we are bound to be friends before we close on the home! 

The market area I focus on is the southwestern corner of Addison County and northwestern corner Rutland County, with the core of my business right here in Orwell and the surrounding towns. I don’t claim to know everything there is to know about real estate, I learn something new with every transaction I handle, and I carry that forward as experience that helps me help my next client even better.

I feel very blessed for the early success I’ve had and the wonderful people who have joined me, I couldn’t be more pleased with our growth in such a short time.  I am very future focused and I see continued growth and expansion in our future.  Many people ask me what “Adirmont” means.  Well, my Orwell office sits on 170 acres with spectacular views of the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, so I named the business to reflect that; ”Adir” for the Adirondacks and “Mont” for Vermont. It also reflects my plans of obtaining my NY State Broker's license and establishing business on the other side of the lake in addition to continued growth in Vermont.
