Rutland County is the second most highly populated county in the state (Chittenden Co. being the most populated). With a vibrant and historic downtown, the city of Rutland is at the heart of the county, with fine dining, shopping and the world-class entertainment of the Paramount Theatre.  Just east of the city center is Killington Resort, offering ample opportunities for outdoor adventures year round. Visit one our our many beautiful lakes including Lake Bomoseen, Lake St. Catherine , Lake Hortonia and Lake Dunmore to just name a few. 


Rutland County is also home to many fine educational establishments such as Castleton University, Green Mountain College and the College of St. Joseph, and with the Rutland-Southern Vermont Regional Airport so close by, traveling to and from the area couldn't be any easier.
