Rutland County is the second most highly populated county in the state (Chittenden Co. being the most populated). With a vibrant and historic downtown, the city of Rutland is at the heart of the county, with fine dining, shopping and the world-class entertainment of the Paramount Theatre. Just east of the city center is Killington Resort, offering ample opportunities for outdoor adventures year round.
